Hello, greetings, and a GREAT-WARM-WELCOME to all new and returning members!
It’s time again for a rip roaring year of Harry Potter Society to kick off and what better way to do it than with a good ol’ fashioned sorting? Now, we imagine that you’ll be wondering and pondering about Next Tuesday (October 4th). Well, we’re here to tell you all about it! Festivities begin at 7:00pm outside the front of the union (by the steps) when we will lead you to Koko Gorilaz; which is where we hold our weekly meetings. For those of you who already know where you’re going, feel free to drop by at 7:30pm.
If you’re curious about what the evening has in store, we’ll start by introducing ourselves and getting to know you a bit better. We will then commence The Sorting (we have two hats for optimum sorting efficiency and fun!). After we’ve filed your complaints and promptly ignored them all, we’ll play some icebreaking games so you can get to know your house mates better.
For those who already know all this, and’ve been sorted and EVERYTHING, then you simply must turn up and cheer for your new house mates.
Hi, Me & a friend happened to be at the Koko Gorillas sorting yesterday (4/10/11) by chance. We were really impressed by the frenzy & fun the Harry Potter Society were having. We started bouncing ideas around on how one could add to the festivities. From speaking to management about using one of the TV’s for playing Harry Potter video games (via Playstation) to arranging a pool tournament between the houses for points. I found your website today & can see you are already ahead in terms of activities.
Sid & I are both Harry Potter fans & although we are unable to join the Society as we are not students would like to extend our help to you in any event planning/organising or creating activities for the society. I myself am a Legal Advisor for Howells Solicitors & Sid has a chain of hardware stores, the Cardiff branch of which is situated on Albany Road (Albany Household Goods). Due to the nature of our work we are available most evenings shall you require our expertise in aiding your adventures. I look forward to hearing from you soon & would like to say thank you to some of the awesome members of your society in helping me beat my all time nemesis in pool last night. Thank You!
